My name is Bryan Arender and I'm a retired law enforcment officer from the great state of Texas with over fourteen years of experience with the following agencies:
Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Department
MTC Correctional Facility, Diboll, Texas
Newton County Correctional Facility
Hunt County Sheriff's Department, Greenville, Texas
Much of my career in law enforcement centered on correctional facility oversight and management, the care and supervision of incarcerated felons, and other duties that came with keeping the peace. When I first started working in this field, I was somewhat apprehensive about these tasks and had the idea that what I was doing was considered by many people to be a hard, thankless job, along with the insufficient pay that came with it.
After some time, I turned these thoughts and frustrations over to the Lord Jesus Christ. Through periods of prayer and the study of His Word,He began to open my eyes and mind to the fact that I could be a positive influence on those who had committed crimes and felt that no one cared for their situation, or that this lifestyle was all they knew and saw no way out. I saw all of this as not just some career choice, but as a benevolent ministry to the "least of these"(Matthew 25:40).
My ministry included everything from surviving hurricanes to suffering from a broken back, and sadly seeing the remains of the Space Shuttle COLUMBIA falling on the facility parking lot in 2003. All too often it included dealing with people who often possessed ideas and attitudes that often pushed my patience to its limit. However, I also had the joy and satisfaction of hearing that former inmates had surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ and were taking steps to make something of themselves.
I had to retire in 2014 due to a broken back and the closure of the facility where I served. Afterwards, I asked the LORD, "So, what now?" He then gave me the idea to distribute His Word to correctional officers not only in Texas, but other states such as Louisiana, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, and wherever I feel led to travel to offer the Scriptures to the men and women of law enforcment who need all the support they can get.
I am ordained through Christian Global Outreach Ministries and commissioned to provide all and any Christ-based service to the law enforcement community and other public servants as needed or requested. Please get in touch with me anytime through either my Email: firstname.lastname@example.org, or call me: (903) 513-6546.
Let's work together for the glory of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ (John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 8:37-39, 10:9-10; 2 Peter 3:9). Thanks for visiting and please let others know about this ministry.
